Focus
True North is the only club program in the tri-state area that is specially created for grade school players. Other programs are designed for high school players. Top instructors, therefore, are assigned to this older age group and the priority is college recruitment. In contrast, our focus is on fully developing players at a younger age, and our belief is that a strong skill set will put our players in a better position to succeed long-term.
True “Program”
Once a player is selected to pay for True North, they will join our year-round program. Skills sessions will begin immediately in the fall, followed by pre-season practices in the early spring. The club season in the summer will include team practices and weekend tournaments. Our future plans are to expand our program to follow each team through high school to allow our players to continue to develop the skills necessary compete at the collegiate level.
Roster Size
Rosters will be limited to 20 players per team. In addition, there will only be one team per grade. True North strongly values the player-coach relationship, and coaches will get to know your son as an individual, not by a jersey number.
Teams Selected by Grade
Teams will be formed by grade. This will allow players to be with their
peers, and it will ensure that everyone has an opportunity to develop
with teammates that are of similar size and ability. True North will
offer 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th grade teams that will be separate for each grade level unless the numbers require a combined team. We will also field a 9th grade team if there are enough players interested.
